Happy Fathers Day....late post, as usual

Happy Fathers Day to my wonderful husband and the best dad in the whole world!  Ben and Sam are two very lucky boys to have you!

Also, happy Fathers Day to our dad's- we love you both very much!

The day started off with only Ben wanting to take a picture with his dad, but it turned out to be an awfully cute one.

Here are the shirts that my fellow mom of multiples handed down to us.  It is the second year in a row she's given us very special fathers day shirts (ignore Sam's diaper camel toe):

Three generations of Bleything men.  Hopefully my boys get their good hair gene:

I was taking the yearly Fathers Day posed picture and these three were in a very silly mood so I snapped away:

We love you Daddy!

Just something pretty

I rarely post about anything but the boys but I wanted to share a picture of something off topic.  We have beautiful hydrangea plants on the sides and back of our yard and I have picked the flowers a couple of times this year to put on our table.  I went outside to pick some today and there were two that were touching the ground because of the recent storm.  I chose those because I didn't want them to go to waste.  They were not the full flowers because half had been smashed due to sitting on the ground.  They were the exact same size but different colors so I put the halves together to make a multi-colored hydrangea.  I think it looks pretty :)

The real live Thomas!

Oh my gosh, we took the boys to see and ride on the real live Thomas the Tank Engine!  It was such a fun day!  We went to Baldwin City, Kansas where they had a entire Thomas extravaganza.  There were tents with several train tables, a petting zoo, bounce houses,  meet Sir Topham Hatt, and of course, you got to take a 25 minute train ride in "Clarabel" pulled by the real Thomas ;)  Needless to say, Ben and Sam were just a tad bit excited.  Although, when asked what their favorite part of the day was they said the train tables, which were not as cool as their own train tables, and the juice boxes we let them have with their lunch.  Our kids are easily entertained.

Here they are with the real Thomas.  He didn't talk to them because he had to smile for the pictures, of course!

Their buddy, Adam, and his parents also were there:

Group hug!

The boys meeting Sir Topham Hatt.  Sam wanted to give him a hug but Ben wouldn't go meet him unless his dad was holding him.  I'm afraid Ben got my fear of just about everything:
The big hug (supposedly he was played by a 50 year-old woman - sure glad the boys didn't see him out of costume. We would have had a lot of  'splaining to do!)
The boys during their favorite part of the day.   Ben with his beloved Gordon or as he calls him, Dordon.   It is his absolute favorite train and he lost his a few months ago.  We have bribed him that if he goes poop in the big boy potty we will buy him another Dordon.  If that doesn't work, I don't know what will!

It was a great day!  But, with their new found obsession with Cars 2, it looks like our next outing with have to be a NASCAR race!

Train park

Last week the boys and I went with some of their twin friends and moms to a really fun park that had train tracks right next to it.  Seeing as how Ben and Sam LOVE trains, we drove the almost 30 minutes to get to the park.  It was totally worth it!  We saw one train very close up and heard another train as it was going by.  They also had a park that had different equipment than most JC parks we go to so that is always fun for the boys to get to climb on new and different playgrounds.  Since we wanted to spend some time there we also packed a lunch and had a picnic in the park with their friends.  I am so thankful to have met Molly and Gretchen through my moms of multiples group!

Here is the boys first reaction to seeing the train go by (you can also see their friends, Bram and Asher in the pic too):

"Thundering down the line" as they call it:
Behind us is the tunnel that went under the train tracks.  The kids loved running through it and hearing their voices echo:
Just another wonderful day that I get to spend with my boys.  Even though the days can be long and tiring, not a day goes by that I am not so extremely grateful to stay home and spend it with Ben and Sam.
