All about Ben

I have been told several times lately that my blog entries feature Sam too much and not enough of Ben. So, this is all about my little sweetheart, Ben. I really, honestly don't put more pics of Sam on here on purpose. It's just that he makes really funny faces all the time so it's easier to capture them on camera. Ben, on the other hand, makes one face most of the time. Luckily for all of us, it's a big cheesy grin. He flashes it when my mom gives him some turkey at the grocery store....he give it when he sees me take bread out of the cabinet......he shows his gummy grin every time we show him that we are getting his bath ready. We are so blessed to have such a happy boy! At one point I was worried about him because he rarely smiled. I thought he was a tortured soul of a 6 month old. Then he got a tooth...then another one...then he got a little break - and it was all smiles from there! The poor lil guy was in pain and once that went away it was perma-grin city in crib "b".

Another quality about Ben that is emerging (and you can probably tell by the info given above) is that he LOVES to eat! While Sam is finished with dinner in 20 minutes, Ben will sit there for almost an hour and savor every morsel we will put in front of him. The baby book says that 11 month olds should be able to pick up stuff smaller than a raisin. This kid makes sure every grain of rice is in his lil mouth and on his "baby got back" bottom! His ever expanding butt and thighs prove he is getting his fair share of bread and waffles. And, yes, lots of good stuff too!

In this picture he was tucked away playing with his toy. You can't really see his face but he has got that big ol' grin on it:

Here is a picture I took tonight. My mom and dad were over helping me with the boys since Matt had class. They were playing a "I'm gonna getcha" game after the bath and the boys loved it.

I mean, c'mon, how could you not smile when you see this face?
Another thing I am very proud about my son is that he is becoming quite the vocal prodigy...at least I think so. He can say dada, uh-oh, and ball all on command. He can also say "bye" and other words randomly. When we talk to him we can tell he is listening and understanding what we are saying. Hopefully, he will take after his dad not only in massive head size but large brain size, too!

I love love love love love everything about this little man. Well, maybe not the fact that he throws his bottle at me in disgust as soon as he finishes it like I should have removed it from his sight already. Actually, yes I do!

  1. Cute Pooky! I've never once thought that your blog features more of Sam than Ben. I know you love both of your boys equally!!
