Ben has a new obsession of feeding himself and having lots of "stuff" around him and holding off objects. This morning he was infatuated with a battery and insisted on taking it with him while he ate breakfast. Notice in the picture he has his snack cup. He loves this thing.....anything to give him independence while eating! He also has some of his appetizer (Cheerios) left and his dessert, buttered waffles. The main course, smashed banana in oatmeal, is being being eaten at a snails pace. If I were to take any of those objects away from him there would be a colossal fit thrown by Mr. Ben. This kid is serious about eating!
The battery was so special that he placed it in the "circle", which is usually reserved soley for the sippy cup.
Later, I couldn't find the battery and worried he put it in his mouth or something. I found it, safe and sound:
That is so funny! The littlest, most random things that kids can be obsessed with just amazes me. My kids were obsessed with a plastic squirt bottle today... wonder what it will be tomorrow. Great posts... love reading them!
