Matt's mom went to Paris a few years ago and brought me back a beautiful pair of silver earrings. They quickly became my absolute favorite pair of earrings because they went with everything and I wore them anytime I had a chance. Unfortunately, I didn't get to wear them very many times because I came home from a wedding two years ago and realized I only had one in my ear! I had lost one of them :( I was sooooo sad and asked Carol to see if there was anyway she could ask her friend's daughter (who lived in Paris) to get me another pair. They couldn't remember the store they bought them from so I figured I would just have to mourn my former pair of favorite earrings and move on.
Last weekend Carol came over and said she had a big surprise for me. She pulled out a box with the earrings inside of it! She had another earring made for me to match my remaining one! Isn't that so sweet? The jewelery maker made an extra one so now I have a matching pendent too.
My mother-in-law is so wonderful and generous and always does very thoughtful things like that for me, Matt, and the boys. I'm so lucky to have such wonderful family!
