Their favorite part of the tour was the kitchen for Ben (surprise, surprise). For some reason he kept wanting to go back there and cried when we had to leave. Sam's favorite part of the tour was when we wandered away from the tour to the outside area and he found some rocks, which he then got to throw. My least favorite part of the tour was when some kid went up to Sam and Ben individually, sneaking up behind them, and pushing them down to the ground. I know it was just a 2 year old thing to do but it made me sad.
The boys did enjoy and tour and Matt and I really like it too! I think we asked more questions than the kids.

Love this pic:
Ben checking out the equipment:
Warning: put on your sunglasses when looking at my legs- they may blind you!
Boys other favorite part of the tour: running in between trucks. I'm sure they really appreciated that:
The boys loved watching Firefighter Sean put on his gear. They do this so if they ever have come to your house the kids are not afraid and run from them since their gear can kinda be intimidating:
The boys were all up in his grill during the demonstration:
Soon after the mask when on things went down hill. Let's just say there were no high fives's for firefighter Sean while wearing the mask.
I can't write about a fire station without remembering my friend Amber's husband, John, who passed away during a rescue last May. He was a brave firefighter and a remarkable husband, father, brother, son and friend and I know he is so incredibly missed.
