She is not much of a planner so she just wanted a courthouse wedding with a small reception back at my house. It actually all ended up being totally perfect.
Here they are exchanging their vows:
Here is their cute, happy family once they became Mr. and Mrs.:
Afterwards, everyone came back to our house for a cake and punch reception. We ordered a couple of cakes (once special one for Lauren and Steve), engraved champagne glasses for their first toast, Aunt Nancy made her famous punch, and Aunt Marlene made pretty bows to spruce up the table. Not too shabby for a 4 day notice that she wanted a reception(like I said, she's not much of a planner but in this case it actually worked in our advantage because the spontaneity made it better!)
They cut the cake:
Sam even "got into things", like he likes to say:
Even though it was a small reception, we managed to squeeze in the first dance, dollar dance, and Aunt Nancy even did the Electric Slide (by herself).
It was a great day and a wonderful start to Lauren and Steve's life together.
