The Royal Treatment

We took the boys to a Royals game last week, and yes, in their minds they received the royal treatment....well, at least a lot of special treats!

They went to one game before when they were 7 months old and pretty much cried the entire time because of the loud cheering and high altitude of the nose bleed seats.  This time they are almost 2 years older, and they had a much different reaction.  We had great seats so they were able to see the players, which of course came second to the snacks.  Pretty much the entire 2 1/2 hours we were there they were eating.  First, a hot dog, then cotton candy, then some of my nachos, then popcorn.  To top it all off they drank water out of water bottle, which they never get to do because of the massive amounts of backwash they produce in it- so that was even pretty special to them.  They were also very excited about the fireworks that went off twice after home runs and a player breaking his back in half.

It was such a great night and we can't wait to take them back.  I heard Sam telling Ben that he was going to get to go to the Royals game this Friday night too.  Not yet, Buddy, but soon!
