We met their friend Adam and his mom at Crown Center. Ben had been asking to go to the place with trains and tunnels and that is the only place I could think of that he could be talking about!
First, we went to the animal exhibit. They have a huge room set up like a jungle, spider web, birds nest, bears cave, etc. The boys love it because it has lots of stuff to climb on and run through. I caught Ben swinging on a rope like a monkey in the rain forest part of the room. I didn't know he was even strong enough to hold on to a rope and swing.
Here is Ben hanging out in the bears cave:
I couldn't get Sam to stay still long enough to get anything close to a clear picture. By the way, whoever said the new I phone had a good camera does not have a 2 year old.
Here is Sam running through the rainforest after he had just pressed a button that brought on monkey noises:
After all the boys were worn out and hungry, Karen and I took them to Fritz's - Ben and Sam's favorite restaurant.
Here are the boys patiently waiting for their food. Ben cracks me up in this pic:
Afterwards, we took them for a "special treat" and got them a cookie at a fudge shop there. We said goodbye to Adam and Karen and made one more stop at a toy store to pick up a gift for a friend. While there Ben and Sam found some trains that I just couldn't not get them. They played with them the entire time we were in the store and stared at me in disbelief when I told them we got to take them home with us! This is the first time I've actually bought them a toy at a store. Is that bad...or maybe good? My boys definitely aren't spoiled- at least by me ;)
Sam showing off his new train:
Ben would not let the train stop chugging long enough to pose for a pic:
Once we got home, it was really time to go take a nap but the boys were really itching to play with those trains some more so we played outside. Not a ball or bike to be found....just Ben and Sam playing with the trains on our driveway.
Today was a great day!! I love making my boys happy :)
Sounds like a great day! You are such a good mama, Pooky!!
